Quorn Vegan Chik’n Tenders

March 31, 2016 By Amy Katz

I remember enjoying Quorn products when I was vegetarian, so I was happy to hear they have a new line of vegan products. I tried the Chik’n Tenders which are soy free and made from mycoprotein.

Quorn is sold in the frozen section of major supermarkets like Kroger, Albertsons, Whole Foods and Target. The Chik’n can be defrosted in the refrigerator if you want to marinate it before cooking, or you can prepare it from frozen. Simply cook the tenders on the stove top until thoroughly heated. Quorn Vegan Chik'n

I used the tenders to make tacos. I heated a little oil in a non-stick skillet, then added the Chik’n and some chili powder, cumin, oregano, and salt. I added the cubes of protein to some corn tortillas and topped with lettuce, tomato, and hot sauce, and dinner was served in under 15 minutes!

The Chik’n tenders would also work well in a stew, curry or stir-fry. They are very convenient to have on hand for a quick weeknight meal. They are high in protein and fiber, making for a hearty, satisfying meal. They do contain wheat, so they are not suitable for those on a gluten-free diet.

Check out the Quorn website for product information, recipes, and coupons.
