Product Review: The January Vegan Cuts Beauty Box

February 6, 2015 By Dianne

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe holidays are over but it always feels like Christmas when my Vegan Cuts Beauty Box arrives!

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a subscription service that delivers a box of 4 to 7 sample and/or full size beauty products to your door every month. It’s like Christmas all year around, because you never know what lotions, potions, polishes, and cosmetics will be inside. The Beauty Box is perfect for people with sensitive skin like me, because there’s no need to shell out a lot of money on products that might not work for you. If you like what you’ve tried, you can purchase the full-sized counterpart from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace.

The January Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Contained:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAModern Minerals Eyeshadow – I received Sakura Shimmer Eyeshadow, which is a pale, shimmery pinkish lavender. It works well as a highlight color, not only on eyes but on cheekbones as well. It’s free of parabens and phthalates, and is Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free.

Color Nail Polish – Okay, I’m going to admit that I don’t actually know what brand this is! It says “Color” on the bottle and “Surprise Nail Polish” on the Vegan Cuts insert card. The color I received is “Snow Queen” which is black, and too dark for my pale skin. I’ll be passing this along to someone with a darker skin tone.

*Update* I’ve been told that that the nail polish is from Color Club!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERACrazy Rumors HibisKiss – Crazy Rumors is my favorite lip balm brand, but I had yet to try their tinted lip colors. Their HibisKiss contains moisturizing organic plant oils and butters and glides on just as smoothly as lip balm. I received shimmy “Tropical”, which is a nice berry color that works well with my skin tone. It has a hint of a tropical hibiscus flavor to it too.

Gourmet Body Treats Sugar and Spice Scrub – This exfoliating scrub protects and nourishes the skin, with organic sugar, oils, and extracts. It smells like an earthy blend of coffee and citrus, and will definitely wake you up on sleepy winter mornings.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADermOrganic Shampoo and Hair Masque – These hair care products are made with mostly organic ingredients and are free of gluten, parabens, petroleum, sulfates and other nasty chemicals that you don’t want anywhere near your head. They both contain rice keratin and argan oil, which repair and enliven hair – they’re perfect for hair that gets dull and lifeless in the cold, windy winter months.

The Beauty Box is available as a monthly subscription, which means that once you sign up, a box of new goodies gets delivered to your door every month. If you like the samples in your box, you can order their full-sized counterpart from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace.

That nail lacquer seems to be Color Club’s varnish. 🙂 It is all vegan company and products are high in quality. http://www.colorclub.com/products/snow-queen

I think that’s Color Club? I think the “Club” part is in black and the polish is black. Bad bottle design choice though!
