The August Vegan Cuts Beauty Box

September 4, 2015 By Dianne

August Vegan Cuts Beauty BoxCan you believe that summer has flown by already? I know that another month has passed, because the weather has cooled off slightly, the leaves on tree outside my kitchen are changing color, and the mailman brought me another Vegan Cuts Beauty Box.

If you’re a regular Chic Vegan reader, you have probably heard of the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, but if you’re a newbie, you might not know about it. That’s okay – that’s why I’m here! The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a subscription service that delivers a box of cruelty-free beauty products to your door every month. The products are usually sample sized, but there are times when you’ll receive full-sized products too (such as this month’s Gleam lip gloss). It’s a great way to find new brands and sample products without spending a lot of money. It’s also perfect for new vegans who are just learning about cruelty-free brands.

This month’s beauty box was put together with the end of summer in mind. The products will help you to savor the last bits of summer sunshine.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box August

The August Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Contained:

Kaeng Raeng DetoxfoliantGlamNatural Hydrating Face Cream – This skin cream was developed with a blend of hydrating plant oils to nourish and sooth skin. It’s hypoallergenic and free of nasty chemicals such as phthaletes and mineral oil.

Kaeng Raeng Detoxfoliant All Natural Body Scrub – This scrub is made with Himalayan pink salt, dead sea salt, shea butter, and natural oils to exfoliate and replenish skin.  This was my favorite product in this month’s box. It could be because I love body scrubs, or it could be cause of the subtle lavender-vanilla scent.

Healthy LocksOne Love Organics Healthy Locks Dry Shampoo Powder – This dry shampoo helps to strengthen and soften hair with ingredients such as kaolin clay, hyularonic acid, and silica rich bamboo extract. Sometimes it’s good to give your locks a break from harsh shampoos and conditioners, and this power is perfect for such days. It’s also great to take with you when you’re traveling. I used dry shampoo during a stay in the hospital last year, and it was a lifesaver!

Harvey Prince Organics Hello Perfume – Harvey Prince describes this perfume as “the scent that greats you with a smile.” It has notes of meyer lemon, white grapefruit, satsuma mandarin, along with other botanicals. I’m going to have to admit that I’m not a perfume girl. I have a super sensitive sniffer, and I often get headaches with just one whiff. I’m going to be giving this bottle to a friend.

Gleam Lip GlossGleam Lip Radiance by Melanie Mills – This long lasting gloss is infused with natural botanicals to help improves lip texture while adding color. It’s made with a blend of natural ingredients including Vitamin E, jojoba oil, and aloe vera. It’s formulated to prevent feathering, and it doesn’t feel sticky on the skin.

The Beauty Box is available as a monthly subscription, which means that once you sign up, a new box of products gets delivered to your door every month. If you like the samples in your box, you can order their full-sized counterpart from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace.
