Product Review: The Vegan Cuts October Beauty Box

November 4, 2014 By Dianne

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is the time of year when my skin starts getting angry with the weather change and I’m on the hunt for a new cleanser and moisturizer. Fortunately for me, the October Vegan Cuts Beauty Box just arrived and it has a full line of vegan skin care products – just in time for the cold weather!

If you’re not familiar with the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, let me introduce you. It’s a subscription beauty box service, and subscribers receive a box full of cruelty-free beauty products delivered right to their door once a month. The box contains samples of vegan skin care products and cosmetics that chic vegans can try out to see if they’re liked. If they are, full-sized counterparts can be purchased in the Vegan Cuts Marketplace. It’s the perfect way to try new products without spending a ton of money, and it’s a great way to learn about new brands too. I love the monthly delivery of my beauty box –  opening the box to discover the goodies inside is like Christmas morning!

The October Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Contained

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAFloss Gloss Pro Nail Lacquer – My beauty box contained the color “Picnic” which is deep burgundy – perfect for autumn! As soon as my beauty box arrived, immediately took off the color I had on my toenails and pained them with this nail lacquer. I’m kind of brutal with my feet, banging them into furniture and stubbing my toes on things (not on purpose, of course), and the polish has held up to wear and tear without chipping. Floss Gloss is 4-Free, which means it’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, and formaldehyde resin – all of which are found in conventional polishes and are known toxins.

Lotus Wei Balancing Serum – My beauty box contained Lotus Wei’s Pure Energy serum, which is exactly what this non-morning person needs to get herself going each day. These serums are made with flower essences and plant oils to enhance clarity, peace, and happiness as well as give the wearing a luscious aromatic experience. They’re to be applied to the face and neck in the morning and the evening, and can be applied the bottoms of the feet right before bed for a more restful sleep.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALovinah Coffee Bean-illa Energizing Body Scrub – This is another product that’s perfect for a non-morning person, as it’s made with coffee, cocoa, and vanilla and has a wonderful coffee scent that will wake even the sleepiest of night owls. This scrub is formatted to detoxify, exfoliate, and moisturize the skin.

Hylunia Skin Care – I was excited to find samples size of the full Hylunia Skin Care line in my beauty box this month. This paraben and phosphate-free line of products will fight aging, prevent acne, and reduce redness while moisturizing and nourishing skin. The line consists of Facial Cleansing Gel, Healing and Restoring Cream, Facial Day Lotion, and Night Treatment.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Beauty Box is available as a monthly subscription, which means that once you sign up, a box of new goodies gets delivered to your door every month. If you like the samples in your box, you can order their full-sized counterpart from the Vegan Cuts Marketplace.
