Product Review: Urban Moonshine

May 19, 2014 By Dina

The lovely people over at Urban Moonshine sent me their original vial to try out as a detox system. Urban Moonshine is essentially a line of herbal formulas, including bitters that help cleanse your body.

originalbittersfamilyLet me tell you, this stuff is magical; it is really effective from day one. What you do is you take a few drops under or on your tongue. It does not matter when you take it. I took it whenever I was experiencing stomach pains. Prepare for some serious cleansing, though. You will go to the restroom a lot as your digestive cleanses itself out. Yes, you will poop a lot. You may find yourself farting a lot, too (I didn’t, but other people trying it with me did).

What is amazing is how connected our body is. By day 2, I found my skin clearing up from the acne I had. I was pooping twice or thrice a day. I felt better because of the bitters. The taste is not amazing, I know. But you can follow it with some water, and, honestly, you get used to the bitterness.

The kind of bitters I got was the original kind. It is targeted to spark digestion and help with: gas, bloating, digestive aid, gentle detox, healthy skin, heartburn, and healthy liver support.

From my experience, I can say that it succeeded in dealing with these issues. The original bitter flavor is specifically for the food lovers like me, the belchers, the over indulgers and the sweet tooth. Check, check, check. All of these things were applicable to me and to my family, and the bitters helped all of us, regardless of being vegan or not.

energytonicsfamilyBesides the Digestive Bitters which also come in Citrus and Maple flavor, they also make Organic Herbal Tonics.  Not different flavors – they’re different blends of long-term use herbs to help you stay healthy: Joy Tonic and Energy Tonic to help you deal with stress and fatigue, and Immune Tonic for your immunity.  Their Immune Zoom is a sweet and spicy blend for extra immunity boost when you need it.

I highly recommend the bitters to you, even if you are healthy and do not suffer from stomach troubles or with energy. They really cleanse your body and give you a refreshed feeling. I found an improvement in sleep, woke up energized, and handled more on a daily basis with energy and optimism. Give them a try.

Enjoy!
