Product Review: Eco Vessel Double Barrel Insulated Mug

November 13, 2015 By Dianne

Eco Vessel Double Barrel Insulated MugI’m a tea drinker. I love my tea! I drink it pretty much all day long, so when Eco Vessel offered me a Double Barrel Insulated Mug to try, I immediately said yes.

The Double Barrel Insulated mug is shaped like a beer barrel, but it isn’t made just for beer (which is good, because I’m not a beer drinker!). This mug was designed to keep your coffee or tea hot for hours, and it keeps your cold drinks such as beer and soda for hours as well. I’ve been known to make myself a cup and then forget about it for a little while, only to go back to it and find that it’s lukewarm. And there’s nothing worse than lukewarm tea, is there? Fortunately, the Double Barrel Insulated Mug does keep my tea hot for hours, so lukewarm tea is now a thing of the past.

Eco Vessel Double Barrel Insulated MugThis mug is is made with two layers of premium #304 stainless steel, and doesn’t contain any BPA or phthalates, because you don’t really want those icky chemicals near your drinks. It holds 16 ounces of liquid, and it has a top with an open and close slider, so you can take your drink with you. The mug is available in both stainless steel and copper (Moscow Mule).

I tried to take my Double Barrel Insulated Mug with me on the go, but unfortunately it doesn’t fit into the cupholders in my Mini Cooper. I’m guessing that  bigger cars have bigger cupholders.

Eco Vessel makes other great on-the-go containers for food and drinks too, such as the Boulder Triple Insulated Bottle that fellow Chic Vegan contributor Yifan reviewed last year. Everything Eco makes is BPA and phthalate free, recyclable and environmentally friendly. To see the rest of their products, visit the Eco Vessel website.
