The massacre of using animals for science occurs on two fronts. First, we all know about animal testing for both human and animal products. Animals die both for commodities and medicinal trials. This is done in the name of “science”. Also, I recently learned that millions of animals die to be dissected for schools. I am disgusted by the numbers of just how many animals are killed for scientific purposes.
Many products are tested on animals. In fact, it is a challenge to find cruelty-free products, products that are not tested on animals. What does this mean? It means that shopping is a bit harder. However, many brands are cruelty free. Animals are tested on for human commodities. This includes medicines and goods. All of the procedures performed on animals can cause psychological and physical damage, as well as suffering. Most of these animals are killed at the end of trials. However, some animals are re-used to be put through more torture through another experiment. After doing the necessary reading for this article I am left speechless at the cruelty animals in science have to suffer through. I can not begin to comprehend how a person can have this much evil in them in order to do these things to animals. Animal cruelty does not stop with them being used for meat or other animal products. It is continued through science. It may be more difficult to lead a vegan lifestyle, but after reading these horrifying facts; I am so proud to say that I am not supporting these acts of violence.
