Review and Giveaway: 21- Day Vegan Blueprint

January 23, 2014 By Robin

I didn’t decide to go vegan overnight.  It took me a while to get here.  I did a lot of reading, books and blogs mostly, and I read a lot of labels.  I had already been a vegetarian for almost 20 years, so I started with eliminating eggs.  Next came milk and butter, then cheese, and finally yogurt.  It took me over a year to make the switch completely.

I don’t know if I would have done it any other way.  I do know that over that period I spent a lot of money buying things that I thought I should try or like.  And I spent a lot of time finding answers to questions that I had.  It would have been nice to have a coach to answer my questions and to hold my hand as I made my transition to a cruelty-free lifestyle.

Jenné Claiborne, also knows as The Nourishing Vegan, is a New York vegan cooking instructor, personal chef and health coach.  Jenné created the 21-Day Vegan Blueprint, an on-line coaching program to help you become a healthy vegan.

For $77, you have access to meal plans, a shopping list, recipes, audio recordings and videos.  You can also join a private Facebook group, so you can share your experience with others, and participate in live calls for direct contact with Jenné.  And you’ll receive a list of resources (books, websites and blogs), tips on how to make the transition and how to tell others about your new lifestyle.  There is even a fact sheet on soy and a guide to vegan cheese.

What will you eat?  Sweet potato felafel, chickpea curry, yummy salads, peach crumble, smoothies (are you hungry yet?), and other healthy foods.  None of the recipes have more than 10 ingredients.  Cooking videos are also included.

Can you change in 21 days?  Maybe, maybe not.  But Jenné  herself admits that she took it slow.  Her plan is designed to help you make the move at your own pace and she’s there to guide you.  As Jenné  says, she’s “got your back.”  I sure would have liked to hear that when I was making my journey!

We’re giving away a free 21-Day Vegan Blueprint program to one lucky Chic Vegan winner! Follow the instructions below to enter. Contest ends at midnight EST on January 31st. Good luck!

I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years and am an RN and an animal advocate. I just purchased a book on Vegan eating but would love to be able to win this plan as it seem like a great and easy way to transition over to vegan eating. I am almost 50 years old but feel tired and need incentive to eat and live a little healthier!!

I want to win the 21-day blueprint because I have no idea where to start. Trying to adopt a vegan lifestyle feels very overwhelming.

I would love to be given the opportunity to win this, where I live is not a very easy place to be vegan, I don’t have many choices of restaurants if any within a 250 mi radius and only have 1 decently healthy grocery store being vegetarian for bout 2 yrs now I can use all the help I can get and would greatly appreciate it!

I would like to try the blueprint because I’ve been trying to be vegan for 3 years now and have failed for the past 2. I do not feel that I’m providing myself with the proper nutrition and do not feel like I have enough time to prepare everything. The simpler way of life has gotten the best of me. I have zero energy and a feel like I’m just getting through the motions of each day. I need to lose some baby weight (had a baby 5 mo ago) and then some, and I know I can’t do it eating the way I do. I honestly just feel horrible and need to get back on track to a vegan way of life and get my life back.

Because having some guidance to get transition easier would be really helpful. My husband and I have been vegetarian for years, and now are mostly vegan. But it’s been really hard for us to funny convert to full on vegan. Something to help us get there and be successful would be amazing!!!

I am incorporating a fair amount of raw food into my diet and would love to have some great cooked, vegan food options. My metabolism is shot after years of working 12-16 hour days and running off one meal or two and coffee. I would say I am a foodie and I’d like that to extend to my journey into vegan cuisine.

I would like to try the 21 Day Vegan Blueprint because as a growing teen, I would not only be able to learn more about the vegan lifestyle but also experience it myself. I have been a vegetarian for 2 years and am hoping to one day become a vegan after learning more about veganism.

I am currently vegetarian and have been actively cutting out dairy and eggs, but sometimes I find myself giving in when I’m in a time crunch. The blueprint would provide me with fresh, new ideas and recipes and the shopping guide would provide me with a fail proof way to stick with it. I think this program is an excellent idea! Can’t wait to try it out!

I would like to start the BluePrint because I am a junk food Vegan. I have been Vegan on and off since 1996 and my weight has fluctuated from 145 to 158 lbs. Before I went Vegan I was a healthy 132 lbs. I think I need a little help.

    Hi there!
I went vegan cold turkey (no punt attended) a year ago for health reasons. I picked up one book read it and away I went on this adventure all by myself. Not knowing what I was doing just making sure I am on a plant base diet. Through the year I have studied a few other books. Although I am happy that my cholesterol went done more than twenty points in six months, I am still overweight. I am not to sure of what I can do next to not be overweight. Maybe your program can help me move to the next step of being a healthy VEGAN!
    Thank you
    Liz

I am very close to being totally vegan and would like to keep track of how much nutrients I’m getting to make sure my protein and iron is adequate. I tend to undereat and want to keep my energy up with some strict guidelines to help me follow a plan.

  23. Alicia says

Becoming vegan has become of interest to me recently after I hit a certain age and my body began to work differently. The foods I’m used to eating and the amount of exercise isn’t sufficient anymore. I began looking at ways to loose weight and ways to change my diet. I’ve been a pescatarian for 9 years now and there’s not too much more I can change. I tried the raw food diet for a few weeks and absolutely loved it. I was actually quite surprised at how great I felt. I was never hungry and the amount of energy I had sky rocketed. This year is the year of Me. New year, new me. I’m ready to make changes that will be a great investment for my future. This free opportunity to try out the 21 day plan would be quintessential to my journey into changing my life style.

So I am currently eliminating milk and eggs and would appreciate guidance to become fully vegan! I would also like to pass on these eating habits to my two children to empower them to become vegan in the future (they r 2 & 4yrs old) so the food will need to taste good! 🙂

It has helped me a lot. I would now like to see if I can become a vegan. I have many friends who are and it seems only the next step in helping me control my diesese. It’s not a cure but it might just help me continue with a better quality of life.
