Mulled Wine

Ingredients
  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 or 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 nutmeg, cracked
  • ΒΌ cup agave or maple syrup, optional
Instructions
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a sauce pan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and let simmer for about 15 minutes. Strain and serve warm.
